what is your expertise?

I have been a makeup artist for nine years. You can find details of my experience on the “about the artist” page.  Also, you’ll find examples of my work on the “portfolio” page.

what products do you use?

To prepare the skin, I use Dr.Hauschka skincare for every client because it is made of ingredients from nature and is of very high quality. It’s excellent for all skin types and is exceptional for use under makeup.  Dr.Hauschka products are available for purchase in my studio.

For makeup I use only exceptionally high quality products that are excellent for both daily wear and photographic makeup. They consist of beautiful and exciting ranges of colours and textures for all skin types and ages.  These brands also have incredible staying power. I also use my own branded line of makeup which is very affordable and is available for purchase in my studio.

is a trial required for wedding makeup?

Yes. A trial is required in order to ensure that the look is perfected before the day of your wedding. A bride should know in advance exactly how her makeup will look on the big day. Members of the bridal party are welcome to have a trial done but it’s not required.

how early should I book a trial?

I highly recommend a trial one to two months before the wedding but this is just a guideline and is really up to each individual bride.

how long will it take to apply the makeup on my wedding day?

I allow one hour for the bride and approximately 40 minutes for each member of the bridal party, but times can vary slightly.

will my makeup stay on all day?

A professional makeup application is very long lasting. I do recommend touching up the lip colour and powder throughout the day. I do have sample pots available if you do not have the lip colour that you choose.

will you come to my home?

I do have a studio  where I can do the makeup for yourself and your wedding party. As well, your hairdresser is welcome to do the hair in studio if that suits you. However, I am available to travel to your home or venue if you prefer.

is a deposit required?

The trial is payable on the day of your appointment but there is no deposit required for the wedding date.

will you travel?

I do have all necessary portable equipment and am willing to travel. Travel expenses may apply.
